This system is also suitable for PVC sliding windows. In this case, the window sashes never end up in the middle of the room and can slide to the side without any problems, even with very large window elements.
Based on a 74 mm installation depth, a completely new sliding system was developed for the market. It consists of 2 sashes, for sliding windows and doors, and an innovative frame, as well as multiple supplementary profiles with guide rail, sash cover with integrated function, 24 mm threshold and various reinforcements. In the new sliding system, complete connection compatibility with existing 74 mm installation-depth systems is ensured thanks to the identical base geometry of the frame. This enables direct coupling.
During the development of the S 8000 IQ system, special attention was paid to profile stability. Therefore, the main chamber dimensions are suitable for incorporating steel reinforcement. The result is very high resistance of the standard reinforcement to bending, which in turn benefits profile stability. This eliminates the need to implement larger elements, while also enabling window manufacturers to meet specific demand for large windows.
The aesthetic level of each window is equivalent to that of the respective profile system. For this reason, we designed our S 8000 IQ system so that it meets all expectations in terms of appearance: generous radii, different glazing beads and smooth, glossy surfaces. The S 8000 IQ system stands for aesthetics and quality – for windows with style and timeless elegance. But that is not all. Alternatively, there is a design variant in which the semi-stepped window sash stands out due to its special shape.
Facade design is enhanced by coloured window profiles. Homes become more visually appealing, like a personalised business card. Even sometimes extravagant design specifications or typically regional colour nuances are no obstacle. If our windows are coloured, there is plenty of variety. The right shade for every setting. From pure white to slate grey, all colours are possible. Resistant to colour fading and RAL-certified.
Quality is also one of the top priorities in the manufacture of GEALAN coloured PVC windows. For this reason, our acrylcolor coloured profiles are produced using a special colouring process. The PVC base structure and the coloured acrylic glass are inseparably bonded. Acrylcolor windows feature a white PVC profile on the inside of the building and a coloured acrylic coating on the outside. If desired, a decorative adhesive film can also be applied to the inside.
The outer layer of coloured acrylic glass has high scratch resistance and is highly resistant to weather influences such as sun, wind, rain, cold and temperature fluctuations. The satin, smooth and non-porous surface is impervious to dust and dirt deposits. There is no flaking or cracking, and repainting is not necessary. As a result, acrylcolor windows require virtually no maintenance and offer impressive ease of cleaning.
In times of rising raw material and energy prices, modern windows help noticeably reduce heating costs. Builders and renovators can therefore calmly face further increases in heating oil or gas prices. This is because IKD® intensive internal insulation is a decisive step towards optimising the thermal insulation properties of windows. Unlike conventional windows, in windows equipped with STV (Static Dry Glazing), the panes are firmly bonded to the window sash. The full-surface bonding of the pane and the window sash results in extremely high rigidity, which enables the production of particularly large window elements and leads to clear improvements in operation. In this way, lifting the windows is also made more difficult, improving anti-burglary protection.
STV® windows impress thanks to extremely high fitting precision of sashes and frames. This allows them to be opened and closed very easily over a long period of time. The reason is the perfect connection between the dry-bonded pane and the sash profile, which prevents any twisting of the window sash, even in the case of larger elements. Even after long use, windows with STV® technology close with the precision of a safe.
Bonding the pane and the window sash results in extremely high rigidity, enabling the integration of window elements with a maximum height of 2.50 m. Combining STV (Static Dry Glazing) technology with conventional steel reinforcement enables the production of elements with dimensions previously unattainable and brings clear operational advantages.
The construction of standard-size elements with STV® technology makes it possible to dispense entirely with steel reinforcement. This results in a considerable improvement in Uf values (up to 0.2 W/m2K depending on the profile combination used).
